- Certificate IV in Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology with
Reformer specialisation
- Pilates Group Reformer Instructor Training
Your student coordinator will contact you with a specific timetable for your learning
journey and will advise you about content, teaching methodology, resources,
references and assessment requirements for each mentoring clinic.
Flexistudy student mentoring clinics run fortnightly on Friday afternoons
and comprise of the following content over the duration of the learning program
- Pre Pilates repertoire CPLMAT402 & Traditional Matwork repertoire CPLMAT406
- Pilates Balls repertoire PILEQU508
- Tensegrity 8-part system and detailed session plans CPLMAT407
Practice teaching CPLMAT406/407
- Postural and Movement Assessment CPLMAT403/404
- Tactile cuing CPLMAT408
- Exam preparation
Students will also study content on Marketing your Pilates Business through their online learning platform CPLMAR401
PREREQUISITES
There are no pre-requisites for enrolling in the 52855WA Certificate IV in Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology course however:
- Your health and fitness should be capable of reaching a highly competent level with the Pilates repertoire
- You are advised to have a minimum of 30 hours Pilates experience
- There is 5 hours of pre-course study to be undertaken
- Students require language, literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to understand anatomy and physiology terms and to communicate with other Allied Health professionals
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
There are 5 student mentoring sessions spread over 2-3 months and students have a further 6 months to complete all practical requirements. Optional student clinics are offered to assist students in completing their clinical practice requirements.
