Don't be fooled
Not all Pilates training is created equal

A word of warning to the wise:

We’ve received many enquiries over the years from graduates who have been disappointed after completing training with other well-known Pilates training course providers hoping to upgrade to one of our programs.

These students have confided in us that they were unhappy with the quality and depth of training they received but only realised that the courses lacked depth once they tried to get a job in the industry.

It can be very confusing when choosing which course to enrol in and at Tensegrity Training we ensure that every potential student is made aware of exactly what they will learn and the job outcomes gained by studying with us.

It can be very confusing when choosing which course to enrol in and at Tensegrity Training we ensure that every potential student is made aware of exactly what they will learn and the job outcomes gained by studying with us.

Many gyms and allied health providers only accept new Pilates instructors who have both a nationally recognised qualification AND hands-on real-life training.

Some training institutions focus on churning out fast training online that is not worth the paper it’s printed on. They are taught a limited range of routines, in a short period of time, which they become easily bored with.

When they go looking for a job in the industry, they are sadly let down. Imagine dedicating all that time and paying all that money and you can’t even use your qualification!

You cannot complete your training online only and think that it will be enough to get a good job in a hands-on field like Pilates!

Integrated Diploma Of Contemporary Pilates And Teaching Methodology
(ADELAIDE, SA)

I have recently completed Integrated Diploma of Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology through Queen St Pilates Studio and Tensegrity Training. I found the learning environment that Leanne Mollison has created at her studio to be very supportive no matter what background the student may have. The course prepares you to enter your career as Pilates instructor both from a technical and physical perspective with lots of opportunities to practice and perfect your teaching style along the way. Leanne is a wealth of knowledge and keeps the course interesting and engaging for the students. After completing my face to face hours of the Cours I gained work in the industry and that is a testament to the quality of my knowledge and teaching skills gained from the course. I highly recommend the course offered through Queen St Pilates Studio to anyone who is looking at becoming a Pilates instructor.

Lucy Prior

Pilates Group Reformer & Certificate IV
(ADELAIDE, SA)

I recently completed the group reformer course though Tensegrity training at Queen St Pilates Studio in Adelaide. Over the three fantastic days of face-to-face training, I was able to broaden my knowledge and understanding of the body and the benefits and versatility of the reformer. Being only 1 of 5 people in this course meant that we were very interactive with the teacher and were able to ask frequent questions, create relative conversations, and feed off of each others ideas. It also meant that we could all use each other to demonstrate and create scenarios, and the instructor was almost always available to tend to us.
The online theory was thorough and simple to follow, which prepared me well for the hands on learning. Ample time was provided to complete the assessments away from the studio, and I loved having to put my knowledge to the test using real life scenarios and putting together class plans for different injuries, ages and fitness abilities. I think this type of learning prepares you extremely well for taking on clients.
It was only a week after the course that I taught my first reformer class and it was incredible. I felt like I knew how to tend to each participant based on their abilities and knew how to modify/progress them. It felt extremely natural. I am still teaching at this pilates studio in Moonta Bay and over the course of these past few months I feel like the information I was provided with through Tensegrity has sunk in and progressed, and has not only been of high value to myself, but to the studio and its clients as well.
I have also now completed the face to face component of the Certificate IV in Contemporary Pilates & Teaching Methodology.

I have recently completed my Integrated Diploma of Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology with Tensgrity Training and in partnership with Queen St Pilates Studio and absolutely loved every minute of it!

Leanne kept us all so engaged throughout the course and was able to challenge us, without pushing us over the edge. Leanne was professional, inspiring, supportive and filled with so much knowledge ... it was a privilege to do the course with her. Leanne is so passionate about Pilates, our bodies and our overall health, it created a positive and enjoyable atmosphere to learn in.

Queen St Pilates studio was also the perfect environment to undertake the course, with so much support provided by all the current instructors and reception staff.

Yolanda Ravelli

Integrated Diploma of Contemporary Pilates And Teaching Methodology
(CENTRAL COAST, NSW)

Definitely when we got to have face to face training in person. That had the greatest impact for me as we had the hands on corrections, could work with other bodies in the room and see how we could apply tactile cues to clients. Also having a studio where we could do clinics and observations that was really good as well and so helpful when other studios were not keen on having students.

I will use all the information gained to teach mat pilates as a pilates instructor. Learning from other instructors from the observations was incredible and this will assist in my own development as a pilates instructor.

Integrated Diploma of Contemporary Pilates And Teaching Methodology
(SUSHINE COAST, QLD)

The content was great! huge to self learn, I thought it was impossible in the short time but I learnt so much by the end of it .I didn't even know what quads were when i first started but now I know so many muscles and their functions.

Teaching a class- Great support at the beginning especially with getting up and teaching for the first time. obviously this is part of the course but haven never stood up in front of others before was very nerve wracking but with the support given i now feel a lot more confident.

This was my first course completed while living in australia and i have thoroughly enjoyed it.
Fantastic knowledge passed on to all students.
Thank you

I think the whole learning experience gained from this course can be used in the future.

Also, thank you very much for providing amazing class videos on Youtube. I have been enjoying "taking" classes so much and the amount and depth of information and instruction given in each video is by far the best. I cannot wait to take your classes in person in the future.

Really enjoying it so far!
I am attending via Zoom! Very glad to be able to join via zoom, the one good thing that has come from this pandemic, making things easier for rural people! :)
Thank you-

Ashlee Huntly

Pilates Group Reformer
(DENILIQUIN, NSW)

Kaz was simply amazing. She explained and demonstrated to us so well and we were able to pick everything up so quickly.

I am already working on creating reformer programs to stockpile for different client levels as well as observing and gaining my confidence to teach a class.

This course was a wonderful three days with Kaz. If we could have had more time with her it would have been amazing! Hope to see her around again soon.

This course is well worth it. I learnt so much from our trainer in just a short amount of time and have great confidence in applying my knowledge to teaching classes and creating programs now.

I'll encourage clients to take the practice o the mat/studio and apply in daily lives. Use the principles to improve core strength, build self awareness and flexibility and move their body in a more biomechanical efficient way.

Alignment. I remember when I first joined the course, one of the students was asking if we see a student perform an exercise incorrectly, what would be the first thing to correct/adjust? And the answer given by our teacher was: “A, B, C..” which means you first work on the alignment, following by breathing and then concentration/control etc. I have since applied this principle when I practice, teach and day to day. Alignment can be mistaken by some as a measurement for a “perfect pose”. In fact, it is way beyond how many degrees your feet or your hip can externally rotate. Alignment aids the correction of postural problems and retrain our bodies to move in balanced and safe manner.

Natasha Giles

Reformer Essentials/ Pilates Group Reformer/ Reformer Intermediate Advanced
(Mountain Creek, QLD)

Greatest impact was in Anatomy and understanding a little more about biomechanics of the body

Experience: being around like minded people enjoying the weekend face to face training, as I prefer that method of study over reading books

Hopefully to start teaching and to continue with further study
